At Richmond, we take the protection of data for pupils, parents and staff very seriously.  

Our Privacy Policy applies to the personal data that Richmond Avenue Primary & Nursery School collects and uses.  We control how your personal data is collected and the purposes for which your personal data is used. 

When using the term “personal data” in our Privacy Policy, we mean information that relates to you and allows us to identify you, either directly or in combination with other information that we may hold.

If you complete any forms on our website, your information will be stored securely in a database, emailed to a contact at the school or both.  We do not process this information in any other way.  We will never sell, distribute or lease this information to third parties, unless we are required by law.

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To process applications when you register your children at our school 
  • To ensure the correct personal contact information is stored for each parent and pupil 
  •  To ensure the correct pupil information is available for each child - including absences / addresses / contact numbers

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure.  In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Subject Access Request
You have a right to request access to the personal data we hold about you.  If you would like to request a copy of your personal data, please email our Data Protection Officer via: office@thorpedene.southend.sch.uk. 

If the information we hold on you is inaccurate, you can email us to let us know what needs updating and we will correct it.

You have the right to object to us using your personal data or to ask us to delete or remove it if there is no need for us to keep it.  You can also ask us to stop processing your personal data in anyway.
