In this section of the site, you can click on the links to the side of this page to find out about useful information regarding the school and how we support your children. 

School Information: 

• The Centre and Bus gates are open from 8.35 - 8.45am for children to come onto site and into their classes 

• The gates close promptly at 8.45am, at which time children will then have to enter via the school office and will be marked as 'late'

    School End Times:

• Children in Reception finish at 3.05pm
• Children in KS1 finish at 3.15pm 
• Children in KS2 finish at 3.20pm
• Parents should come onto the playground to collect their children.
• Parents / Carers MUST stay behind the line. Classes will be lined up the other side of the line and teachers will dismiss the children to you.

• Please remember that we are a NUT AND BANANA FREE SCHOOL, please ensure these items / foods with these items in are never sent into school

School Uniform 

Details on our school uniform can be found in the document at the bottom of this page. 

To ensure affordability, most of the uniform does not require any /personalisation logos and can therefore be purchased at a wide range of shops, including supermarkets. Alternatively, second hand uniform is available for a small donation via the PTA or the school office. 

Pupils Belongings 

Please note that the school / SECAT is not responsible for any items of property that are brought into the school which get damaged or lost; although every attempt is made to find lost property. 

Please ensure all pupils belongings, including clothes, bags and PE kits, lunchboxes etc. are named. 

 

Remote Education 

Richmond Avenue Primary  School is committed to the continued provision of a varied and engaging education, together with strong pastoral support, in the event that children have to experience a period of remote learning. It is also determined to protect the physical and emotional wellbeing of its staff. This statement summarises the school’s remote learning provision so that there are consistent and well-understood expectations.

The statement is for the whole school community: leaders, staff, parents and pupils.

Three principles underpin the statement:

· No pupil is to be excluded from learning whilst not in school on the basis of a lack of technology in the home;

· Vulnerable children and those with SEND must be individually supported to ensure their progress is not reversed;

· Teaching practice must incorporate both remote learners and those still in school in order that school staff workload is manageable and their wellbeing protected.

 

This is a new and evolving statement that we will regularly review and may update if we feel there is a benefit for the school community, for example in the event of another partial or full lockdown or a bubble having to isolate.
